Hotel Hanger Quantity Calculator

Plan the hanger quantity for a hotel, lodge, guesthouse or serviced-apartment rollout, including a practical spares buffer and carton rounding.

The hanger quantity formula

Start with the number of rooms, multiply by the hangers required per room, then add a spares buffer for housekeeping replacement. Use rooms × hangers per room × 1.10 for a 10% buffer and round up to the next full pack.

Typical starting points are 6 hangers per guesthouse room, 8 per standard hotel or lodge room, 10 per boutique room and 12 per serviced apartment. Adjust the count for wardrobe layout, laundry turnaround and the level of housekeeping replacement you expect.

Choose the right hanger system

  • Anti-theft plastic: cost-effective for high-volume standard rooms; packs of 200.
  • Anti-theft wooden: a stronger presentation choice for suites, lodges and boutique properties; packs of 50.
  • Security rings: useful when refurbishing compatible existing hangers and rails; packs of 200.
  • Samples first: confirm rail compatibility and finish before a property-wide rollout.
